Each successive offense will result in a referral to the office and loss of an additional two percent from the participation grade.

Assignments

Assignments must be handed in when they are due.  Students who are absent on the day an assignment is due may hand the assignment in when they return to school.  All assignments are listed in the syllabus and are due the following day.  The only exception to this is vocabulary assignments which are due on the day of the test.  Assignments not handed in when due will receive an incomplete.  The incomplete will be graded as a zero until the assignment is turned in.  The maximum grade achievable on an incomplete assignment is a 70%.  Since all assignments are listed in the syllabus, there is no excuse for a student to not complete the assignment if absent and hand it in when they return to school.  There is no such thing as make-up work for assignments!

Every class has a research component and major end of course project.  Therefore, there is always some sort of homework which needs to be completed, even on weekends.  Technology is an integral part of Marketing.  Students who do not have access to a personal home computer with Microsoft Office or the internet will need to make arrangements to come in before school, stay after school, or come in on Saturday.

Make-up Work

The only make-up work for this class is in the form of tests.  If the student is absent on the day of a test, they will be required to make up the test in accordance with the school’s make-up work policy.

It is the student's responsibility to get their assignments and make arrangements with me for testing!

Having a job or extra curricular activity is NOT and excuse for not being able to complete an assignment or make up work.  The student's education and graduation MUST be the number one priority for every high school student. Their future success depends on it!!

Office Hours

I am available for extra help after school from 3:30 to 5:00, Monday through Friday.  Make-up tests will be given and detention will also be done during this time.  I will also come into school on Saturday from 8:00 to 12:00 provided prior arrangement has been made.
